TEENAGER CONVICTED OF SERIOUS ASSAULT IN BRUTAL ATTACK
A teenager named Sarah Morris, aged 17, was found guilty at Nottingham crown court of seriously assaulting Adam Morrell, a 14-year-old boy, during an attack involving her boyfriend and two other individuals.
While she was convicted of serious assault, she was cleared of his murder.
The attack took place in a house in Loughborough, where Adam was beaten and tortured by the gang he was with that night.
The court heard that Adam, described as a "likeable rogue" who had never been in any "real trouble," began to complain about his girlfriend, which annoyed Welsh, who punched him, initiating a prolonged assault.
Sarah Morris's involvement was significant but limited to the assault, and she was not charged with murder.
The case highlighted the brutality faced by the victim, with the court sentencing pending on December 17.
