CHRISTOPHER JEFFREY SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR MURDERING WIFE IN STOKE-ON-TRENT
Christopher Jeffrey, a 51-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent, has pleaded guilty to the murder of his wife, Sarah Jeffrey.
The fatal attack occurred at their home on Church Avenue, Baddeley Green, following the breakdown of their marriage.
Sarah was found dead at the scene on June 8.
After the incident, Jeffrey contacted his mother and then called the police to confess his actions.
During his court hearing at Birmingham Crown Court, he admitted to the murder and was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment.
The court determined that Jeffrey, who had been married to Sarah for 14 years, murdered her after their relationship had ended.
He will serve a minimum term of 11 years before being eligible for parole.
The judge noted the tragic outcome of Jeffrey’s actions, stating that he will spend the rest of his life in prison for this crime.
