Brampton Corbridge Child Sexual Abuser
In July 2017, a man formerly residing in Brampton appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court charged with multiple offences related to indecent images of children. Samuel Gault, aged 54, now giving his address as Priory Gardens, Corbridge, was charged with three counts of creating indecent or pseudo images of a child and one count of possessing such images.
The alleged offences occurred between December 7, 2012, and May 18, 2017. The images involved are classified as Category A, the most severe, along with Categories B and C. The total number of indecent images linked to the charges is 184.
Gault pleaded guilty to all charges during the court hearing and is scheduled to be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on August 18.
