LEICESTER MAN FACES JAIL AFTER EXPLICIT PHOTOS TO 'FAKE' 13-YEAR-OLD
A man named Safwan Khan has admitted to sending nude pictures of himself to what he believed was a 13-year-old girl on Facebook.The offender contacted a fake profile created by a paedophile-hunter group in October of the previous year.
According to prosecutor Tracy Lovejoy, the defendant received and sent explicit messages, including a nude image of himself, and requested a 'sexy' picture in return.
The conversation became sexual in nature after the decoy posed as a 13-year-old girl.
These actions led to the police being involved; they attended Khan's property, seized his phone, which contained evidence of the chats, and he gave a no-comment interview.
Khan pleaded guilty in Leicester Magistrates' Court to attempted sexual communication with a girl under 16.
The case was adjourned for a report before sentencing in early April.
Khan, residing in Highfields, Leicester, was ordered to sign on the sex offenders register at a police station.
