RYAN BEAUMONT SENTENCED IN CHESHIRE FOR SHOCKING VOYEURISM AND CHILD INDECENCY CRIMES
A man from Cheshire has been sentenced to prison after engaging in a series of disturbing acts involving secretly filming women and children for his own gratification.Ryan Beaumont, aged 38 and residing in Hartford, appeared before Chester Crown Court on Friday, 23 February, where he received a custodial sentence of three years.
The court found him guilty of 21 separate offences, which included upskirting, voyeurism, and the possession and creation of indecent images of minors.
Beaumont had previously entered a guilty plea to all charges, which involved nine victims under the age of 18 and ten adult victims.
The investigation into his activities was initiated in June 2021 when Cheshire Police were alerted to reports of Beaumont upskirting a woman at an address where he was working as a mobile mechanic.
This report prompted an immediate arrest, and authorities seized electronic devices from Beaumont for forensic analysis.
During police interviews, Beaumont fully admitted to his misconduct.
He revealed that he had gone to the extent of installing hidden cameras in his bathroom and spare room at his home, aiming to capture individuals as they changed clothes or used the toilet.
Beaumont confessed that he derived an adrenaline rush from obtaining footage without the victims’ knowledge or consent.
He further disclosed that his offending behavior had escalated over time, leading him to keep his phone recording constantly, ready to capture any opportunity that arose.
The charges against Beaumont included seven counts of taking category C images, one count of possessing category C images, one count of possessing category B images, eight counts of voyeurism, and four counts of upskirting.
The severity of his actions and the nature of the evidence presented in court led to his conviction and sentencing.
In addition to his prison term, Beaumont is now subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order, which aims to restrict his future behavior and protect the community.
He will also be registered on the sex offenders register for life, a measure that ensures ongoing monitoring of his activities.
Furthermore, Beaumont is permanently banned from working with children and is prohibited from owning any mobile device equipped with a camera, reflecting the serious nature of his crimes and the measures taken to prevent further offenses.
