SEX OFFENDER WHO ASSAULTED WOMAN GIVEN UNPAID WORK AND REHAB
A 61-year-old man received a community order after admitting to sexually assaulting a woman in Dursley.Roy Jepp, who is 61 years old and resides in Woodmancote, North Nibley, pleaded guilty to intentionally touching a woman in a sexual manner without her consent in the town between July 30 and August 2 of the previous year.
He appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on March 5 and was sentenced on May 14.
The court's sentence included a community order that requires him to participate in rehabilitation activities for up to 30 days and to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
Jepp is also mandated to register with Stroud police station for a period of five years.
Furthermore, a restraining order was issued, prohibiting him from contacting a specified female and from visiting a particular address until November 13, 2027.
In addition, Jepp was ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs along with a £114 surcharge.
