October 2018 Pervert who targeted girls in Herne Bay has been jailed  A vile pervert has been jailed for 14 years after he was found guilty of multiple sex offences against children. Roy Gisby, 53, of Surrey Road in Canterbury appeared at Canterbury Crown Court yesterday (October 8) where he was also told he would serve an additional two years on licence. Between 2001 and 2007 he subjected three girls under the age of 16 to multiple indecent assaults in the Herne Bay area, committed acts of gross indecency and incited them to engage in sexual activity. Gisby was investigated by Kent Police and charged with more than a dozen offences after the women came forward many years later. He denied the charges but was found guilty by a jury following a trial at Canterbury Crown Court on June 20.
