November 2012 Girl, 10, urged to pose naked by Facebook ‘friend’ from Skegness A MAN who made sexual suggestions to a 10-year-old girl after contacting her on Facebook has been sent to a young offenders’ institution for 12 months. Ross Leverton encouraged the girl to pose naked for him and and suggested she perform sex acts with an 11-year-old. Phil Howes, prosecuting at Lincoln Crown Court, said that the offences came to light when the 10-year-old’s mother discovered hundreds of messages from Leverton on her daughter’s Facebook account. Mr Howes said “The girl was being manipulated by the defendant as to what to say during their exchanges. “She was naive and very young. Her understanding of what was going on was limited.” He told the court that Leverton never touched the girl nor did he meet her alone. Leverton, 20, of Alma Avenue, Skegness, admitted three charges of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity relating to offences in April and June 2011. David Eager, defending, said Leverton was only 18 when he committed the offences and has been diagnosed as having a mild learning disability. “He is a very immature boy with very real difficulties. He clearly has emotional problems.”
