MAN SENTENCED FOR HAVING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
Rory James appeared before Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, April 2, and received a sentence of 22 months imprisonment.
The 43-year-old, who has no fixed address, was convicted by a jury of three charges: creating indecent images of children, possessing such images, and possessing prohibited images of children.
In addition to his prison sentence, he was ordered to register as a sex offender, and he will be subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
He was also mandated to undertake a rehabilitation activity requirement.
During the investigation, authorities from Cheshire Constabulary’s Online Child Abuse Investigation Team found that James possessed nine indecent images of children, classified across categories C, B, and the most severe category A.
Officers also identified the presence of extreme pornography in his possession.
The images were discovered after detectives executed a warrant at James’s residence, following information received from investigative sources.
