In a case that has sent shockwaves through the communities of Reeth, Richmond, and York, Ronald Woodward, a man well-known in the village of Reeth, was convicted of a series of heinous sexual offenses committed over nearly three decades. The 61-year-old, who was residing at South View Bail Hostel on Boroughbridge Road in York at the time of his release in July 2012, had a disturbing history of abusing young boys from 1965 to 1994.
