Last week, police officials in Glasgow appeared before the court to secure legal measures requiring Wedgwood-Orekoya to register as a sex offender.
The court's intervention aims to mitigate the risk he poses to the community, especially to vulnerable females.
The 32-year-old, who has traveled extensively for work, particularly in the agricultural and fishing sectors, maintains strong ties to Aberdeenshire but has also spent significant time abroad.
His journey to the Falklands began in 2021, when he arrived on the islands to work as a sheep shearer and in the fishing industry.
During his time there, he built a reputation as a transient worker, moving between countries and jobs.
However, his past actions have now come under scrutiny following a violent incident in April 2022 in Port Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands.
