The 32-year-old, who has traveled extensively for work, particularly in the agricultural and fishing sectors, maintains strong ties to Aberdeenshire but has also spent significant time abroad.
His journey to the Falklands began in 2021, when he arrived on the islands to work as a sheep shearer and in the fishing industry.
During his time there, he built a reputation as a transient worker, moving between countries and jobs.
