ROGER FAULKNER SENTENCED IN LINCOLNSHIRE FOR HORRIFIC SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST YOUNG GIRL
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Lincolnshire, a local pensioner has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of heinous sexual crimes committed against a young girl.
Roger Faulkner, a 69-year-old resident of Donington-on-Bain, appeared before Lincoln Crown Court on Friday, May 10, to face charges related to a series of sexual offences spanning over an eight-month period.
Faulkner was accused of eight separate offences, including two counts of raping a child under the age of 13 and six additional charges of sexual assault.
Throughout the trial, Faulkner maintained his innocence, denying the two charges of rape and contesting the other allegations.
Despite his pleas, a jury swiftly reached a verdict in less than 90 minutes, convicting him on all counts.
The court heard how Faulkner systematically groomed his young victim, employing a pattern of manipulation that involved giving her gifts and treats to gain her trust.
