LONDON MAN JAILED FOR BRUTAL MURDER OF FIANCÉE OVER CROSS-DRESSING CONFLICT
Roderick Deakin-White was found guilty of murder following a violent assault on his fiancée, Amy Parsons, in their Whitechapel flat in April. The court proceedings revealed that he attacked her with a metal bar while she was taking a shower.
The incident was reportedly triggered after she showed dissatisfaction with their relationship, especially regarding his cross-dressing interests.
During sentencing, Judge John Lafferty characterized the murder as being committed in a "most horrendous, savage and brutal way." Although Deakin-White admitted to hitting Ms Parsons with the metal bar, he claimed that her death was accidental.
He received a sentence of at least 17 years in prison.
Amy Parsons' family voiced their grief and disappointment over the sentence, stating they plan to appeal as they believe it does not adequately reflect her worth.
The court was informed that Deakin-White's anger and jealousy intensified when Ms Parsons started a new relationship with a colleague shortly before her death.
The judge highlighted the tragic loss of a "bright light" and a "beautiful person," emphasizing her life was taken violently and without reason by him.
