Heysham Child Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the Heysham community, authorities uncovered a significant collection of illicit material involving child exploitation. The investigation revealed that both Robert Lupton and Elizabeth Gallacher, individuals with connections to the area, were found in possession of over a thousand images and videos depicting child abuse. The content was not only disturbing in its nature but also included extreme material involving animals, highlighting the severity of the offenses.

Details of the case emerged after police executed a search at the residences of the accused. During the search, officers discovered a vast array of indecent images stored on their devices, which prompted immediate legal action. The authorities confirmed that the material found was of a highly disturbing nature, involving minors in various exploitative scenarios, as well as content involving animals, which is considered particularly heinous.

In court, Marek Sowinski, who was identified as the individual responsible for possessing these indecent images, admitted to the charges. Sowinski, a 58-year-old former police officer from Stoke-on-Trent, faced the consequences of his actions in a legal proceeding. His sentence included a prison term of one year, which was subsequently suspended for two years, meaning he would not serve time unless he committed another offense within that period.

Furthermore, Sowinski was mandated to participate in a sex offender treatment programme, aimed at addressing underlying issues and preventing future offenses. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of five years, ensuring ongoing monitoring and community safety. The case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the distribution and possession of illegal and exploitative material, and serves as a stark reminder of the serious consequences faced by those involved in such crimes.
