ROBERT HORNE SENTENCED IN HADDINGTON FOR ABHORRENT SEX OFFENSES AGAINST YOUNG GIRL AND BOY
A man identified as Robert Horne, a convicted sex offender from Haddington, has been handed a six-year prison sentence after being found guilty of serious sexual crimes involving two young victims.
The court proceedings revealed disturbing details about Horne’s actions, which spanned several years and involved multiple victims from the East Lothian area.
According to court records, Horne, aged 53, engaged in a pattern of abuse that began when the girl was just seven years old.
Between April 2015 and January 2019, Horne subjected her to a series of heinous acts, including performing sexual acts and exposing her to pornography at various addresses within East Lothian.
The victim, now 12 years old, testified that she was initially too frightened to report the abuse, and that she sustained injuries during the assaults.
Her testimony painted a harrowing picture of manipulation and fear that kept her silent for years.
In addition to the abuse of the girl, Horne also targeted a young boy in the same community.
The court heard that between April 2014 and January 2020, Horne encouraged the boy to view pornography and perform sexual acts on him at different houses in the area.
