December 2020 Llanymynech pub landlord given 18-month community order after sexual assault A Llanymynech pub landlord who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old schoolgirl in his pub has avoided a prison sentence and instead was handed a 18-month community order. Robert Hedley, 57, was convicted by a jury in October of sexual assault after the incident, which happened in June of 2018 at the Bradford Arms, in North Road, Llanymynech. Shrewsbury Crown Court had heard that Hedley forced himself on the child and kissed the girl, who was under the age of 16, without her consent. The pervert groomed the girl, sexually touched and molested her and repeatedly made sexual innuendos and sexual remarks He was sentenced last week, where he was given a community order to last 18 months He will have to complete the Maps for Change programme for sex offenders, as well as 25 days of rehabilitation activity. Hedley was also ordered to pay the £3,000 costs of the prosecution as well as a victim surcharge.
