Stourport-on-Severn Rapist Child Sexual Abuser
In 2020, Robert Glover, a 73-year-old former church minister from Worcestershire, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for a series of serious sexual offences involving young children. Glover, who resides on Great Western Way in Stourport-on-Severn, was convicted at Worcester Crown Court following a two-week trial. His convictions include charges of raping a child under 13, assault by penetration of a child under 13, two counts of indecent assault of a child under 16, and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. The court has mandated that Glover serve the 16-year sentence and register as a sex offender for life. West Mercia Police commended the bravery of the victims who came forward and provided evidence, with Detective Constable Melissa Jones stating, “We hope this conviction offers some resolution and reassurance to other victims of sexual offences.” Police investigations confirm their commitment to pursuing offenders to ensure justice is achieved.
