ROBERT DEARDEN'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN COVENTRY: NURSE AND PAEDOPHILE SENTENCED TO 14 YEARS
In November 2019, the disturbing case of Robert Dearden, a nurse from Coventry, came to light as authorities revealed the extent of his heinous crimes against a young girl.Dearden, who was employed as a psychology nurse, was found guilty of a series of sexual offenses, including the rape and abuse of an eight-year-old girl, in what prosecutors described as a deliberate and calculated campaign of sexual exploitation.

However, during his police interview, he controversially claimed that it was the girl who had initiated the sexual contact, a statement that was met with condemnation from the prosecution.
Dearden, aged 68 and residing on Bulkington Road in Coventry, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including rape, sexual assault, and the possession of indecent images of children.
His sentencing reflected the severity of his crimes, with a 14-year prison term handed down by the court.
The judge also deemed Dearden a continuing danger to children, resulting in an extended sentence that requires him to serve at least two-thirds of his term before being considered for parole.
The possibility remains that he may not be released until he has served the full 14 years.
Furthermore, Dearden is now subject to lifelong registration as a sex offender.
Upon release, he will remain on license for the duration of his sentence, with the potential for recall to prison if he breaches the terms of his release.
His legal restrictions and monitoring will continue for at least seven years after his release, emphasizing the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
