In May 2015, Robert Black, a resident of Hartlepool, faced a significant legal penalty after being convicted of possessing a large collection of illicit and disturbing material.

The court sentenced the 69-year-old to two years in prison after evidence revealed that he had accumulated nearly 500 indecent images and videos depicting children, alongside material classified as extreme pornography.
