RITIN PARBAT FROM WALSALL SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN OXFORDSHIRE
In a recent case that has shocked the local community, Ritin Parbat, a 21-year-old man residing on Westville Road in Walsall, was convicted of serious child sex offences committed in Oxfordshire.The case was brought to light following a thorough investigation by Thames Valley Police, which uncovered disturbing details about Parbat’s actions and his attempts to manipulate a vulnerable young girl.
Parbat appeared before Oxford Crown Court on Friday, November 9th, where he pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a minor.
The court sentenced him to a prison term of two years and three months.
In addition to his incarceration, the judge imposed a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), aimed at protecting the victim and preventing any further contact or abuse.
The charges against Parbat stem from multiple offences that took place between March and May of the same year.
The victim, a 14-year-old girl whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, was targeted by Parbat through a calculated campaign of grooming and manipulation.
It was revealed that he used flattery, monetary gifts, and other presents to lure her into a false sense of trust, with the intent of establishing a long-distance pattern of sexual abuse.
The investigation was triggered when the girl sought medical assistance, specifically requesting the morning-after pill, which prompted her to disclose her concerns.
During the subsequent police inquiry, authorities recovered messages from Parbat’s phone that exposed his manipulative tactics.
These messages showed that he had been attempting to impress and win over the girl over a period of three months at the start of the year, using gifts as a means to maintain her affection and continue his abusive behaviour.
Further evidence uncovered during the investigation included a number of sex toys found in Parbat’s possession.
One of these items was subjected to DNA testing, which confirmed a positive match with the victim, providing concrete proof of his involvement in the offences.
Police reports indicated that Parbat had initiated contact with the girl through phone calls and text messages before traveling approximately 84 miles from Walsall to Oxfordshire to carry out the abuse.
Faced with overwhelming evidence, Parbat chose to admit his guilt during the court proceedings.
His plea and subsequent sentencing serve as a stark reminder of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable minors and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat such heinous crimes.
Police officials expressed hope that the young victim will now be able to begin her journey of recovery from the trauma inflicted during her ordeal, emphasizing the importance of support and justice in cases of child exploitation.
