FOUR TEENAGERS CHARGED WITH RAPE
Four teenagers have been formally charged with sexual assault following an investigation into a serious incident in Weston-super-Mare.Detectives specialising in serious sexual offences led the arrests after receiving a report of a woman being threatened and raped at a residence on 21 June, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
Tommy Campbell, aged 19 and from Weston-super-Mare, faces charges including six counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, one count of false imprisonment, and one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Rio Welling, 18 and also from Weston-super-Mare, has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of false imprisonment.
A 17-year-old male, who cannot be identified due to his age, has been charged with three counts of rape, false imprisonment, and assault causing actual bodily harm.
Another 17-year-old male, also unable to be named because of his age, is charged with one count of rape and assault causing actual bodily harm.
All four suspects were remanded to custody and are scheduled to appear before Taunton Magistrates’ Court.
