Bushey Child Sexual Abuser
In a serious case heard at St Albans Crown Court, Ricky Hughes, a 30-year-old resident of Bushey, faced multiple charges related to the possession and downloading of indecent images of children as well as extreme pornography. Hughes, who resides on Scottswood Close in Bushey, pleaded guilty to several counts that highlight the severity of his actions.

Specifically, Hughes admitted to possessing a total of 60 indecent images, with 20 of these classified at Level 4, which is recognized as the second most serious category of such images. His offenses also included the possession of a Level 4 movie, along with an image of extreme pornography depicting sexual activity involving a woman and a dog. These charges underscore the disturbing nature of the material involved.

In total, Hughes pleaded guilty to four counts of making (downloading) indecent images of a child, one count of possessing such images, one count of possessing a Level 4 movie, and one count of possessing an image of extreme pornography. The court was informed that Hughes had no prior criminal convictions, which was noted during the proceedings.

Judge Michael Kay QC presided over the case and decided to adjourn sentencing until March 31, to allow for a probation report to be prepared. The judge emphasized that all sentencing options remained on the table, as the nature of the offenses crossed the threshold for custody, indicating that Hughes could face imprisonment depending on the outcome of the sentencing process.
