RICHARD KILFORD FROM SWINDON ESCAPES JAIL AFTER SHOCKING SKIRT-FILMING INCIDENT

In November 2017, a disturbing case emerged involving Richard Kilford, a resident of Swindon, who was found to have engaged in highly inappropriate and illegal activities targeting young girls.

The investigation was triggered when relatives of Kilford, a divorced father of teenagers, grew suspicious of his secretive behavior surrounding his iPad.

Upon inspection, authorities discovered a collection of disturbing photographs depicting young girls aged between five and seven years old in provocative poses.

These images raised immediate concern and prompted a police report.

When police officers arrived at Kilford’s residence, they were welcomed inside by his elderly mother, who appeared unaware of her son’s illicit activities.

During the search, officers seized not only the iPad but also uncovered a latex mask stored in a filing cabinet and a full pack of children’s underwear suitable for girls aged five to six years old.

The digital evidence was particularly alarming, as it included 22 indecent or prohibited images of children, along with several videos.

Prosecutor Tim Hills explained that the footage suggested Kilford had attempted to film up young girls’ skirts in supermarkets, indicating a disturbing pattern of voyeuristic behavior.

Further investigation led police to track Kilford to his vehicle, where he was found driving around with others.

He was subsequently stopped in a supermarket car park in Swindon.

The police confirmed that Kilford was responsible for multiple offenses, including four counts of making indecent images of children and possession of prohibited images.

The evidence pointed to a troubling obsession with young girls, with the material found on his devices and in his home.

Richard Kilford, aged 51 and residing on Southernwood Drive in Woodhall Park, pleaded guilty to the charges.

His defense attorney, Gareth James, emphasized that since his arrest, Kilford had taken steps toward rehabilitation.

James stated that Kilford had sought help at The Shaftesbury Centre in Rodbourne, where he had begun counseling sessions with a sexual psychotherapist to address underlying psychological issues.

Additionally, Kilford was the full-time carer for his 75-year-old mother and had consulted his general practitioner regarding his alcohol consumption.

Swindon Crown Court Judge Robert Pawson acknowledged the seriousness of Kilford’s offenses but also recognized his efforts to seek help.

The judge remarked on Kilford’s concealed collection of illicit images and his attempts to film young girls in public spaces, which constitute particularly grave crimes.

However, the judge was also impressed by Kilford’s proactive steps toward rehabilitation, including paying for sexual psychotherapy.

As a result, the judge decided to suspend the prison sentence, imposing a 16-month jail term suspended for two years.

Kilford was also ordered to complete a sexual offenders’ treatment program and a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

Furthermore, Kilford will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order for ten years and must register as a sex offender for the same period.

The court’s decision aimed to balance the need for public safety with the possibility of rehabilitation, emphasizing the importance of addressing the psychological issues underlying Kilford’s behavior.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing threat posed by individuals with such deviant tendencies, even when they take steps toward reform.
