MONSTER WHO RAPED WOMAN WHILE SHE SLEPT IN WEYMOUTH IS JAILED
A man has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for raping a woman while she was asleep.
Richard James Lane, who is 50 years old, has also been ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
Lane, residing on Wyke Road in Weymouth, a seaside town in Dorset, received his sentence at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, September 28.
He was found guilty two weeks earlier, on September 14, at the same court.
The assault occurred in 2016 when Lane raped a woman at his home while she was asleep.
She was awakened in the early hours of the morning by Lane engaging in sexual activity with her.
