ANGLESEY MEN JAILED FOR STRING OF INDECENT IMAGES OFFENCES
Two men from Anglesey have been sentenced to prison for offenses involving indecent images of children.Richard Samuel Herrington, 25, of Llangefni, was convicted on charges of taking and distributing indecent photographs of a minor.
He received a sentence of two years and four months and was also given an indefinite restraining order along with a sexual harm prevention order valid for ten years.
Jason Roberts, 49, from Holyhead, was found guilty of attempting to commit a relevant sexual offense and of creating two indecent images of a child.
He was sentenced to one year and nine months in prison, and like Herrington, he was subjected to both an indefinite restraining order and a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
Both men are now registered sex offenders.
The court mandated the seizure and destruction of all electronic devices linked to their offenses.
Detective Amy Jones, leading the investigation, commended the courage of the victims who helped in the prosecution and condemned the offenders’ disturbing sexual interests involving minors.
She highlighted the ongoing efforts to protect children from such predatory behavior.
