RICHARD GAINES SHOCKS LONDON COURT WITH REFUSAL TO APOLOGIZE FOR ABUSE IN NORTHWOOD AND ISLEWORTH
Richard Gaines, a former geography teacher from London, who was convicted of heinous sexual offenses against young boys, appeared once again at Isleworth Crown Court on Tuesday, May 14.This appearance followed the courageous decision of a seventh victim to come forward and report Gaines after reading about his previous crimes in newspaper articles, as reported by MyLondon.
Gaines, now 79 years old, had previously been convicted in 2019 for a series of sexual offenses committed against six boys dating back to the 1970s.
His crimes took place while he was employed at St Martin's Preparatory School in Northwood, North West London.
The court heard that Gaines’s method of predation involved offering what appeared to be sex education, showing the boys pornography, and then leading them into a storage cupboard where he would sexually abuse them.
During the latest hearing, allegations of recent internet-related offenses were also discussed, although there was no update provided regarding ongoing police investigations into these claims.
