In June 2015, a disturbing discovery was made involving Richard Clark, a man from Grovehill, Hessle, whose actions have shocked the local community and raised serious concerns about child exploitation and online safety.

It all began when a passenger, traveling in a taxi in Hessle, found a mobile phone left behind by the driver. Upon inspecting the device, the passenger was horrified to discover that it contained approximately 14,460 indecent images of children. The images depicted young girls estimated to be between 12 and 14 years old, and they had been downloaded over a period of three to four months.

Following this discovery, authorities were alerted, leading to an investigation that ultimately identified Richard Clark as the owner of the phone. Clark, aged 35, appeared before Hull Crown Court to face charges related to the possession of these illicit images. During the court proceedings, Clark admitted to possessing a total of 14,460 indecent images, a revelation that underscored the severity of the case.
