RHYS LYALL FROM GLASGOW CONVICTED OF DOMESTIC ABUSE IN CLACKMANNANSHIRE AND GLASGOW
Rhys Lyall, a man originally from the city of Glasgow and with connections to Clackmannanshire, has been found guilty of committing multiple serious domestic abuse offences over a period spanning from July 2021 to March 2023.The disturbing series of events led his victim to flee her hometown and the surrounding county, taking her three-month-old daughter with her in a desperate attempt to escape Lyall’s increasingly violent behavior.
During this troubling timeframe, Lyall’s violence escalated to the point where he attempted to kill the victim on two separate occasions.
One of these life-threatening incidents occurred while their two-month-old child was in the next room, highlighting the extreme danger and recklessness involved.
The victim, fearing for her life and her child's safety, sought refuge and support from Women’s Aid, a well-known organization providing assistance to victims of domestic violence.
Lyall’s actions did not stop there.
He was arrested following these incidents and subsequently breached bail conditions on two occasions.
However, one of these breaches was dismissed as part of a plea agreement, which likely contributed to the final sentencing.
The court proceedings culminated in Lyall pleading guilty to all charges related to domestic abuse.
On April 22, 2025, the court handed down its judgment, sentencing Lyall to a custodial term of 16 months.
Additionally, a significant non-harassment order was issued, banning him from making any contact with the victim for a period of ten years.
