LOUGHTON MAN FACING SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES TO STAND TRIAL IN 2027

Authorities have identified a man scheduled to face trial over allegations of sexual assault against a woman in Loughton.

Reinaldo Valdes has been formally charged by Essex Police in connection with an incident that occurred in the early hours of August 24, 2024.

The victim reported being sexually assaulted, and since then, she has received ongoing support from specialists.

She has also been kept informed about the progress of the investigation.

Valdes, a British national aged 57 and residing at Avril Way, London, E4, has been charged with sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault.

He appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 11 and pleaded not guilty to both charges.

It has been announced that a trial is scheduled for August 2027 at the same court.

Prior to the trial, Valdes was released on conditional bail.
