REGINALD LILLEY FROM PETERBOROUGH ESCAPES JAIL WITH SUSPENDED SENTENCE AFTER YEARS OF ABUSE

In a case that has shocked the community of Peterborough, Reginald Keith Lilley, a 62-year-old former delivery driver from Werrington, was brought before Peterborough Crown Court to face serious allegations of sexual abuse and theft. The proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of misconduct spanning several years, involving a young girl and a woman, with Lilley ultimately being convicted on multiple charges.

Initially, Lilley pleaded not guilty in November 2013 to a series of charges that included indecent assault on a female child, indecent assault on a woman over 16, and the theft of female underwear from a residence. Despite his pleas, the jury found him guilty on all counts when he appeared in court last month, bringing a sense of justice to the victims and the community.

The charges detailed a troubling history of abuse. The earliest incident was reported to have occurred in 1983, when the victim was just 14 years old and Lilley was in his 30s.
