REBECCA SEARING MURDER CASE IN HARLOW: NURSE SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR HUSBAND'S DEATH

Rebecca Searing, a 52-year-old nurse from Harlow, was found guilty of the murder of her husband, Paul Searing, who was 57 years old at the time of his death. The tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of February 12, when Paul returned home from a night out at the pub in Harlow, Essex. According to court proceedings, Rebecca launched a violent attack on her husband while he was in bed, shortly after he arrived home. She retrieved a kitchen knife and stabbed him twice, inflicting fatal injuries while he was likely asleep, as noted by the presiding judge, Christopher Morgan.

During the trial, it was revealed that the attack occurred around 2:30 a.m., and Rebecca herself contacted emergency services, telling a 999 call handler,
