Haywards Heath Sexual Abuser
In a case that has shocked the local community, Raymond Haffenden, a 50-year-old man from Haywards Heath in West Sussex, has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in producing and possessing indecent photographs of a teenage girl. The incident came to light after Haffenden himself boasted about taking inappropriate photographs of the young girl, which led to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.

According to the evidence presented at Hove Crown Court, Haffenden took naked pictures of the teenage girl after allegedly giving her alcohol, a detail that underscores the manipulative and predatory nature of his actions. The court was informed that the girl was unaware that these images had been taken or made. The court heard that the photographs were taken between February and April of the previous year, during which Haffenden engaged in these illicit activities.

Described by the court as a “simple man,” Haffenden admitted to the charges of making indecent photographs of a child and possessing such images. His admission was part of the proceedings that led to his conviction. The judge, Charles Kemp, did not hold back in condemning Haffenden’s conduct, describing his actions as “disgusting and disgraceful in equal measure.”

In addition to the prison sentence, Haffenden was ordered to be registered on the Sex Offenders Register for life, a measure that reflects the severity of his crimes and the potential risk he poses to the community. The case has raised concerns about the safety of minors and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation and abuse. Haffenden’s sentencing serves as a stark reminder of the consequences faced by those who commit such heinous acts in West Sussex.
