LEICESTER MAN RANDOLPH STOTT SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF CHILDREN IN LEICESTER
In a significant case brought before Leicester Crown Court, a 71-year-old man from Leicester, identified as Randolph Stott, has been handed a substantial prison sentence for a series of historical sexual offenses.The court proceedings, held on Wednesday, October 10, revealed the disturbing details of Stott’s misconduct, which spanned over several years and involved two young victims.
Stott, who is also known by the nickname Andy, was found guilty of abusing two girls, both of whom were between the ages of 10 and 11 at the time of the incidents.
The abuse began in the mid-1990s for the first victim, continuing until the end of that decade.
During this period, Stott exploited moments when they were alone, engaging in inappropriate acts that caused lasting harm.
He would often buy her presents and give her money, manipulative tactics that furthered his abuse.
For his second victim, the abuse commenced in the late 1990s.
Similar to the first, Stott’s misconduct involved buying her presents and taking her on trips, actions that served to entrap and manipulate her into silence.
The victims, after many years, finally reported the abuse to Leicestershire Police last year, leading to the legal proceedings that culminated in his conviction.
On September 21, Stott pleaded guilty to nine counts of indecent assault, acknowledging his wrongdoing in a court that heard the full extent of his crimes.
The court’s judgment included a sentence of six years in prison, reflecting the severity of his offenses.
Additionally, Stott is now subject to a lifetime sexual harm prevention order, which restricts his activities and interactions to protect the public.
He is also required to sign the sex offenders register for the rest of his life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and oversight of his conduct.
