WOMAN SENTENCED FOR CHILD CRUELTY AND BATTERY

Ramana Potumudi, aged 58 and currently without a fixed address, admitted to a charge of causing unnecessary suffering, injury, or neglect to a child or young person at Aylesbury Crown Court on 21 January 2026.

During a court hearing on Tuesday, 9 June, Potumudi received a prison sentence of one year and nine months.

The incident in question occurred on 27 November of the previous year, when Potumudi repeatedly subjected a young girl, who was the victim, to assault in Milton Keynes.

Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

Potumudi was taken into custody on 21 December and was charged on the same day.
