MAN JAILED FOR SEX OFFENCES AGAINST 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL
A man who supplied a 12-year-old girl with a mobile phone and sent her messages of a sexual nature has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Phyllippe Baker, aged 56 and residing in London, received his sentence at Bournemouth Crown Court on Wednesday, November 30.
His prison term includes an initial six-year sentence, along with an extended licence period of an additional three years.
Baker was already convicted on November 2, 2022, of multiple offenses including sexual communication with a minor, meeting a child following sexual grooming, and causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
These offenses took place in Sturminster Newton from August 1, 2020, to April 8, 2021.
On April 8, 2021, Dorset Police were alerted about sexually explicit messages found on a 12-year-old girl’s phone.
Following the report, police visited the girl, who disclosed that a man had recently visited her and had given her a phone.
She also provided her car registration details, which were traced back to Baker.
Baker was subsequently detained by authorities, who also recovered his notebook and digital devices.
The notebook contained the girl’s personal information.
