NOTTINGHAMSHIRE SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR ASSAULT ON GIRL UNDER 14
A sex offender who assaulted a girl under the age of 14 has been jailed.
Phillip Frost, 67, was convicted of 10 counts of indecent assault on a girl aged under 14.
His trial at Nottingham Crown Court lasted five days.
The offences took place in Nottinghamshire throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
Frost was jailed for 16 years when he was sentenced on November 9.
He was also made subject of a sexual harm prevention order and must sign the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely.
Investigator Gary Dodd, of Nottinghamshire Police, praised the bravery of the survivors, emphasizing that while the sentencing doesn't undo what happened, it offers some comfort.
Authorities encourage others affected to come forward and report abuse, even if it happened long ago.
