MAN, 50, CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD IN EASTLEIGH

A man aged 50 has been formally accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

Peter Sibanda, residing on Twyford Drive in Eastleigh, made an appearance at Southampton Crown Court on Wednesday, June 10.

He faces charges of sexual assault as well as two counts of communicating sexually with a child.

The allegations pertain to events that occurred on Saturday, June 5, in Wells Place and Factory Road, both located in Eastleigh.

It is claimed that he approached teenage girls, with one incident involving inappropriately touching a 16-year-old girl.

Additionally, he is accused of making sexual comments to a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl.

Sibanda is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear again at Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday, July 7.
