MAN WHO POSSESSED SOME OF THE WORST CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL AN OFFICER HAS EVER SEEN IS JAILED
A man possessing some of the most severe child sexual abuse material encountered by law enforcement has been sentenced to 40 months in prison. In June 2025, Cleveland Police received a report indicating that 45-year-old Peter Minza had been involved in online discussions about child sexual abuse and had shared exploitative images.
The Specialist Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) responded to Minza’s residence, where he was detained and brought in for interrogation.
Authorities confiscated multiple electronic devices, but Minza declined to cooperate, refusing to disclose PINs or passwords.
Nevertheless, the Digital Forensics Unit succeeded in extracting data from Minza’s iPhone, revealing 3,579 indecent images of children.
Among these, 1,657 were classified as the most severe (category A), 1,291 as category B, and 631 as category C.
Additionally, nine extreme pornographic images involving animal harm were found.
Further analysis of his devices showed that Minza had distributed 91 images of children—specifically, 69 in category A, 18 in category B, and four in category C—and possessed a manual related to paedophilia.
The investigation uncovered that Minza had engaged in sexual conversations with two individuals he believed to be a 13-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl.
He also discussed with others how to share indecent images covertly.
He faced 13 charges, including two counts of attempting to initiate sexual communication with a minor, three counts of creating indecent images of children, three counts of distributing such images, possession of an extreme pornographic image, and possession of a paedophile manual.
On 27 April 2026, Minza appeared before Teesside Crown Court and admitted guilt on all charges.
He returned to court on 26 June where he was sentenced to serve 40 months in prison.
He will also be subject to a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be listed on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
