Sandyford Sexual Abuser
In a serious case brought before Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, Peter Jones, a resident of Sandyford, was found to have engaged in the possession and distribution of illegal child abuse images. The 61-year-old, who is wheelchair-bound, appeared in court to face multiple charges related to the possession and creation of indecent photographs of children.

Jones, residing on Wignall Road in Sandyford, admitted to downloading hundreds of such images over a period spanning from September 24, 2010, to May 24, 2011. His guilty plea covered five counts of making indecent photographs of children, with the offences occurring during this timeframe. Additionally, he confessed to another five counts of the same offence, which took place between March 3, 2011, and May 24, 2011.

Beyond these charges, Jones also pleaded guilty to possessing indecent photographs of children on two separate counts. Furthermore, he admitted to possessing extreme pornographic images, which are considered particularly disturbing and illegal under current laws. The court was informed that Jones had no prior criminal convictions, which may influence the sentencing considerations.

The judge decided to adjourn the case to allow for a pre-sentence report to be prepared, ensuring that a comprehensive assessment of Jones’s background and circumstances will inform the final sentencing decision. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement and judicial authorities to combat the distribution and possession of child exploitation material, emphasizing the seriousness with which such offences are treated in the UK.
