PETER HOATH FROM HURST GREEN TO BE SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN LEWES

In April 2019, a man from Hurst Green named Peter Hoath is set to face sentencing after being found responsible for creating a significant number of indecent images of children. According to court documents, Hoath, aged 64, admitted to producing over a hundred such images, with specific details revealing that he pleaded guilty to the creation of 41 Category A images, which are classified as the most severe and explicit. These images were produced over a period spanning from September 17, 2017, to September 26, 2018, within the boundaries of Hurst Green.

In addition to the Category A images, Hoath also confessed to making 47 Category B images and 65 Category C images of children during the same timeframe. These categories indicate varying degrees of explicitness, with Category B being less severe than Category A, and Category C being the least explicit among the three. The court proceedings took place at Lewes Crown Court, where Hoath was committed for sentencing scheduled for May 1.

Following his guilty pleas, Hoath was released on bail under strict conditions. Among these conditions was a prohibition against possessing or using any computer or electronic device capable of accessing the internet, reflecting the seriousness of the charges and the court’s efforts to prevent further offenses.
