February 2019 Man sentenced for sexual offences in Warwickshire A man has today (Friday 15 February) been sentenced to prison for a number of sexual offences committed against a teenager in Warwickshire. At Warwick Crown Court on 29 January, Peter Graham Brown pleaded guilty to three counts of indecently assaulting a boy in the 1980s. The offences took place in 1980 and 1981 and the investigation was launched when the victim, who was aged between 14 and 15 at the times of the offences, reported the assaults to police. Brown met his victim while he was a stable manager and riding instructor at a stable in Warwickshire. The 71-year-old from Shuckburgh Grove, Leamington Spa, was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court to two years and ten months in prison. In sentencing Brown, Judge Peter Cooke said: “What you did was unspeakable and shameful.” He went on to say: “It would be a travesty if this didn’t result in an immediate custodial sentence.”
