August 2012 Paedophile who accessed images is jailed for six months A paedophile who accessed indecent images of children on a hacked website and had graphic images on his computer has been jailed for six months. Peter Bidula (58) was caught after he visited a cookery website which had been hacked by online paedophiles who posted more than 2,000 graphic images of children. Bidula, of Maple Grove, Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, accessed 241 of the images on March 6, 2010, and was traced by police through his internet address and was arrested on March 15 this year. His computers were seized and found to contain almost 500 indecent images of children. He pleaded guilty to making and possessing indecent images of children and was jailed for a total of six months at Peterborough Crown Court yesterday (Thursday). Detective Constable Gareth Purdy said: “This is not a victimless crime and we will not tolerate those who view and share indecent images of children. “This case should send a message that we will catch up with anyone who accesses such images and they will be put before the courts.”
