Pervert sent texts to girl he believed was 13 only it was a paedo hunting group A pervert who sent texts to a girl he believed was 13-years-old later asked her to delete the messages. Permjit Singh, 62, was instead in contact from his home in Glasgow’s Robroyston with a member of a group posing as a child. Singh was also snared chatting to another “decoy” acting as a young girl. He pleaded guilty on Friday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to two charges of sending sexual written communication to someone pretending to be a child in December 2019. Singh – using the name ‘Mak Chal’ and claiming to be 45 – spoke to the pair on Facebook for a week. He stated he would have sex with them and also asked for pictures. One “decoy” said she was just 13 and Singh replied: “You better delete everything before your aunty finds out.” The group confronted Singh which was live streamed on Facebook before he was arrested. Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports by Sheriff Paul Crozier. Singh, a first offender, was put on the sex offenders register and granted bail meantime.
