PEDRO EVANGELOU, THE DEVIL-WORSHIPPING RAPIST, JAILED IN LONDON
In January 2017, a disturbing case emerged from London involving Pedro Evangelou, a man with a dark reputation linked to Satanic themes, who was convicted of heinous crimes against a young woman.Evangelou, a 42-year-old self-proclaimed devil worshipper, was sentenced to nine years in prison after being found guilty of rape and sexual assault at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
According to reports, Evangelou’s criminal activities took place in his flat located in Barnsbury, a neighborhood in London.
The case drew significant attention due to the disturbing nature of the crimes and the alleged Satanic symbolism associated with the offender’s residence.
Evangelou was photographed during his arrest, appearing shirtless and wearing a bandana, which added to the chilling image of his persona.
The victim, a 19-year-old woman, encountered Evangelou at an alternative nightclub called Slimelight in Islington during June.
After their initial meeting, Evangelou invited her back to his flat on Pembroke Street.
Police investigations later revealed that Evangelou’s residence contained a room dedicated to Satanic imagery, underscoring the disturbing context of the assault.
Once inside his flat, Evangelou reportedly secured the door by placing a plank of wood across it, effectively trapping the young woman.
It was there that he committed the assault, raping and sexually assaulting her in a manner that shocked investigators and witnesses alike.
The victim, in a desperate attempt to seek help, managed to reach a window and mouthed the words “help” and “phone police” to passers-by outside.
Fortunately, one of the bystanders noticed her distress and called emergency services.
Before police arrived at the scene, the victim managed to escape from Evangelou’s flat and ran into the street, where she was assisted by shocked and concerned members of the public.
The police quickly responded to the 999 call and apprehended Evangelou, who denied the charges, claiming that the woman had consented to the sexual acts.
London’s authorities, particularly Scotland Yard, have expressed concern that Evangelou may have targeted other victims.
They have urged anyone who might have been victimized by him to come forward, emphasizing that Evangelou has now been detained and is serving a lengthy prison sentence.
The case remains a stark reminder of the dangers lurking in the city and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable individuals from predatory behavior.
