WILTSHIRE POLICE OFFICER DISMISSED FOR OBSESSIVE AND CONTROLLING BEHAVIOR
A police officer has been dismissed from Wiltshire Police due to conduct described as 'obsessive' and 'controlling'.The officer, PC Storm Brand, was found guilty of misconduct after attempting to pressure a female officer into restarting a romantic relationship.
The misconduct panel, held in November, determined his behavior constituted gross misconduct, leading to his dismissal.
Deputy Chief Constable Craig Dibdin stated that PC Brand exhibited 'fixated, obsessive, intrusive and controlling behaviour'.
The panel also heard how PC Brand contacted the female officer against her wishes and attempted to do so through her colleagues, friends, and family, which was deemed 'disgraceful'.
Deputy Dibdin emphasized that such behaviors are unacceptable within the police service, creating an environment that was 'intimidating, hostile and degrading' and causing distress to the officer.
PC Brand had previously faced allegations of gross misconduct and received a final written warning for conduct involving sexual impropriety towards female colleagues.
