TRANSGENDER WOMAN JAILED FOR INDECENCY AT WELSH HOSPITAL
A transgender woman has been incarcerated for engaging in sexual activity in front of nurses at a hospital in Wales.Paula Stanton, 62, a known repeat sex offender residing on Severn Avenue in Barry, was sentenced after admitting to an act that outraged public modesty by masturbating at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff earlier this year.
During proceedings at Cardiff Magistrates' Court, it was revealed that Stanton was brought to the hospital by ambulance following threats of self-harm made in the early hours of May 17.
While waiting in the emergency room for a mental health evaluation, she was observed by staff to have her hand down her trousers' groin area, with her penis in her hand, moving it back and forth.
Stanton was masturbating openly in front of the nurses' station while making eye contact with a nurse on duty.

Prosecutor Lewis Ball stated that upon arrest, Stanton told officers "I did nothing wrong" and replied "no comment" when questioned during the police interview.
Stanton has a record of previous convictions, with 12 convictions for 19 different offences, including outraging public decency and indecent exposure, mostly committed between 2019 and 2025.
She was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order twice, once in November 2019 and again in August 2025.
The court sentenced her to a little over five months in prison, which included a 100-day sentence for the incident on May 17 and an extra 60 days for violating her earlier suspended sentence.
Stanton is set to be released after serving 70 days in custody, with the remaining time of her sentence to be served under supervision on parole.
