PAUL THORNTON OF DUNFERMLINE SENTENCED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULTS IN FIFE
A 42-year-old man from Dunfermline named Paul Thornton has appeared in Dunfermline Sheriff Court in connection with two separate domestic assault incidents.
The first assault took place on September 13 at Trondheim Parkway, where Thornton pushed his partner out of bed and kicked her, leading to injuries.
Nearly a month later, on October 16 at the same location, he committed another assault by punching her in the head, repeatedly forcing her head into the floor, kicking her, and pouring a bottle of lemonade over her.
During the hearing, Sheriff Peter Anderson described Thornton's conduct as "outrageous" and "bullying," and issued a warning that such behavior must never occur again.
Thornton was subsequently sentenced to a community payback order with a 12-month supervision period, underscoring the gravity of his actions.
