In September 2010, a judge issued a stern warning to Paul Slater of Coronation Terrace, Truro, indicating that he would be jailed when formally sentenced next month.

Judge Christopher Elwen told Slater, aged 27, that "custody is inevitable" after Slater pleaded guilty at Truro Crown Court on Friday to raping a young girl in late 2008.
