PAUL SHELTON FROM OLD SARUM FACES CHARGES IN WESTBURY FOR VOYEURISM AND INDECENT IMAGES
In a case that has shocked the local community, Paul Shelton, a 42-year-old resident of Partridge Way in Old Sarum, is set to be sentenced next month after being found guilty of serious voyeurism offenses and possession of indecent images. The incident took place in Westbury, where Shelton installed covert recording devices with the intent of secretly observing women in private settings.
According to court records, Shelton admitted to three counts of creating indecent images of children, alongside four charges of voyeurism.
The charges detail that between November 2018 and April 2019, Shelton clandestinely installed recording equipment in locations where he could observe others in private acts, specifically targeting women using the toilet.
The recordings captured three women during such private moments, raising significant concerns about privacy violations and personal safety.
The case was brought before Swindon Crown Court, where Judge Jason Taylor QC presided over the proceedings.

The court ordered that Shelton be released on bail and scheduled his sentencing for February 8.
A pre-sentence report was also commissioned to assist the judge in determining an appropriate penalty.
Representing the Crown was Roderick Blain, who outlined the gravity of the crimes committed.
Shelton was represented by defense attorney Nicholas Clough.
The case has garnered considerable attention due to the invasive nature of the offenses and the breach of personal privacy involved.
The community and authorities alike await the upcoming sentencing, which will determine the extent of legal repercussions for Shelton’s actions.
