PAUL MELLING FROM WIGAN ESCAPES JAIL AFTER HORRIFIC CHILD AND ANIMAL PORN CASE
In a case that has shocked the community of Wigan, Paul Melling, a 52-year-old resident of Eastwell Road, Ashton, was found guilty of possessing extreme and illegal pornography involving both animals and children. The disturbing details of his offenses came to light during a court hearing where Melling pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to his collection of illicit images and videos.
Among the most disturbing admissions, Melling acknowledged owning a photograph depicting a person engaged in a sexual act with a pig.
This particular image is classified as animal abuse and is considered highly illegal and morally reprehensible.
In addition to this, Melling admitted to creating and possessing vile images and footage involving children, some of which were classified as Category A, indicating the most serious level of child exploitation material.
The court proceedings took place in Bolton, where a judge sentenced Melling to 15 months in prison.
However, the sentence was suspended for a period of 24 months, meaning Melling will not serve time in jail unless he commits further offenses within that period.
As part of his sentence, Melling is also required to complete 60 hours of unpaid community work.
Furthermore, he is subject to a sexual harm prevention order that will last for ten years, restricting his activities and contact with minors.
Additionally, Melling is mandated to register as a sex offender for the same duration, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities to protect the public from potential harm.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement and judicial authorities to combat the possession and distribution of illegal and harmful pornography, especially involving vulnerable populations such as children and animals.
The community of Wigan and surrounding areas remain vigilant, hoping that such measures will prevent future offenses and ensure safety for all residents.
